After graduating from Fanshawe in 2007, I immediately travelled to Australia for a year abroad. I then backpacked the country for 4 months before settling in Sydney. Soon after, I found a job in my field as a web designer at a small company in the heart of the city. At this job, I met my future business partner and husband, Karl. Six weeks after meeting, Karl & I started our own company, CuteGecko, and ran it for less than a year in Sydney. We relocated to Kitchener, Ontario and then truly started to grow the company.

Focusing on digital design and online marketing integration, CuteGecko’s reputation in the Region helped it gain respect and top-tier clients, including The Government of Canada, Google, Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, Miovision, The Waterloo Region Record and more. CuteGecko was also the recipient of multiple nominations and awards including Entrepreneur of the year and The Diamond Award for Marketing Agency of the Year.

In January of 2014, CuteGecko was acquired by large printing and communication company, Cober and has integrated our Agency style of design into their well established company. Post acquisition, the CuteGecko team has worked with Cober to deliver a stronger, increased set of skills and services to their ever growing number of clients.
