Brittany: A story of change
Brittany has always been curious about flight. “I’ve always wanted to learn how to fly, but it seem scary,” she says. “How do those planes stay in the air?”
While looking for a career change, Brittany decided to learn all about how those planes stay in the air safely and reliably.
Brittany is a student in the Aircraft Structural Repair Technician program, offered in partnership with Sault College and Fanshawe.
“It’s a really fun learning environment,” she says. “You never know what you’re going to learn each day.” When she graduates, Brittany is hoping to find a job on the east or west coast.
Her advice for other women looking for a career in aviation? “Don’t be intimidated. The only limitation we have is on ourselves.”
