Haley: A story of new beginnings
What brought you to Fanshawe?
Before I came to Fanshawe, I attended Western University for three years and obtained my Nutrition Degree. I knew that I wanted to attend Fanshawe after, so that I could get a more hands on experience working with food in the Culinary Management Apprentice Program. I also heard great things about the Chefs and the program at Fanshawe and that is what drew me in!
Tell us about your favourite Fanshawe experience.
My favourite Fanshawe experience would have to be our final project, Chef's Table. Although it was very stressful, it was the most rewarding and satisfying project I have ever done. My team was absolutely amazing; I was the Chef for the evening so I kept everyone on track and we managed to score the highest grade in Fanshawe history! It was definitely an experience I will always cherish.
What impact has Fanshawe had on your life?
I can honestly say, I have met some of the most incredible people at Fanshawe, who have had a huge impact on my life. Their encouragement, productive feedback and enthusiasm made me realize that that if I want to succeed, I have to work hard and take nothing for granted. I will always cherish my memories I made at Fanshawe and carry them with me throughout my Culinary career!
