Jordan: A story of discovery
After completing my fifth year of high school, I decided to move two hours away from everyone I ever knew and start law school. Growing up, I never really had a "talent". I was never good at art, math, science, nothing. The only thing I was good at was English, but I didn't want to become a teacher, and I couldn't write an interesting story if my life depended on it.
So, I decided to try my hand at law. I've always wanted to help people, and I figured law was the way to go. After my first year, I knew that it wasn't for me. But I was terrified to tell my parents and let them down.
I signed up for my second year, found an apartment, and moved back to go to school at the end of August. Within the first week I knew I couldn't do it. I swallowed my pride, called home and told my parents the truth.
They came and picked me up a month later after everything was finalized. And then it was crunch time. Time to choose what to do in school. That's when I sat down, and talked it out with my parents. I realized that I love advertising and marketing. I went to Fanshawe the next day and enrolled in Business - Marketing.
