Natasha: A story of dreams come true

I have spent most of my life thinking that I was worthless. Thinking that I could never amount to anything. I have been working as a Bilingual CSR for years. I moved back to London to be with my mom, and shortly after found out I was pregnant with my son.

A year after he was born I had a choice to return to a job I hated, or finally finish my education. I went back to school, and graduated.

I never thought I would be a student at Fanshawe. In my first year I found out that my mother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Front Temporal Lobe Demensia. This was hard for me, as I was her POA and made all her decisions.

I have gone through a lot of struggles in these past three semesters at Fanshawe with family, friends, and just recently loosing my mother to Alzheimer's. I know that she would want me to continue with my studies and follow my dream.

I am now working as Before & After School Teacher, while completing my placement, and raising my beautiful 3 year old son.

Fanshawe College has made it possible for me and my family to have a bright future.
