Susan: A story of searching
After studying at UWO for 15 part-time years I finally graduated with my B.A. I must say it was challenging because I had 2 small children and a husband that needed my attention as well. At the same time I owned a spa and worked some weeks up to 55 hours a week. I really don't know how I did it!
So after university I still was a bit lost on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I had a travel agent as a client and she would tell me about her amazing escapes off to new lands. I was captivated by her stories. However, last year she passed away with cancer leaving behind 3 young children.
Saddened by her loss and missing her stories terribly, I kicked around the idea of Tourism. I had the people background and the ability to service people well and the fact that I love, love, love to travel. I applied to Fanshawe College in the Tourism and Travel Program, I was accepted!
The Tourism and Travel program is a lot of fun. The Profs are all incredibly talented and always offering support in any way they can. I am fortunate to be part of this environment.
I would like to say "Thank you Fanshawe" for such an amazing program!!!!!
