Sylvie Verwaayen: A story of art
As a graduate of BealArt and Fanshawe Design, I have taught design as well as myself being a designer/artist. I taught computer graphic design since 1992 for Fanshawe Continuing Education as well as later at the School of Design. I also taught corporately and regionally throughout Southwestern Ontario. I also have been painting since 2013 and as of 2014, have been focusing on art full time.
I am passionate about creating new works of art via painting, graphite or electronically. I volunteer throughout the London community including being part of the Meny Mentorship Program.
I will always continue to be part of the art scene in London and will paint for the rest of my days, it's my passion that keeps me young.
When most of my classmates from BealArt and Fanshawe Design left London for their careers, I knew that I wanted to stay in this area to be close to my family, friends and colleagues that I have made working relationships with over the years. London has so much to offer and I want to be part of it.
I look forward to future opportunities to either create, teach or mentor. I am truly blessed and I want to pay it forward.
